Insider Scoop: H&M to Launch Luxury Line

While it may be too early to pop the bubbly, we can’t contain our excitement about the news that H&M may be launching a luxury line! According to Women’s Wear Daily, the company answered the rumors very obscurely. “We are constantly looking at new ideas; it’s a natural part of our work. However, there is nothing new that we can [talk] about for the moment,” spokeswoman Charlotta Nemlin said.

While it may seem a bit out of character for the Swedish brand which is known for its affordable prices, this foray into high-fashion seems like a logical step. H&M’s collaborations with high-end fashion designers like Jimmy Choo, Lanvin, and most recently Marni (loving our sequin Peter Pan collars!!) have been a staggering sensation, selling out in merely hours.

According to the Huffington Post, H&M’s higher-priced line is called Exclusively Conscious and features “red carpet-ready looks”. Each piece is made with eco-friendly materials including hemp, recycled polyester, and organic cotton. We adore the H&M custom-made masterpiece that Michelle Williams wore to the BAFTAS!

We can’t wait to get our hands on one of these… fingers crossed!
