It's finally here!!!
We recently blogged about fashion house Christian Dior selecting Raf Simons as head designer (only the 6th ever in the fashion house's history!) Today was Simon's big debut - during Paris couture .....and drum roll please.... we are LUVING the new look!!!
Style: Simons reinterpreted many of the Dior's historical designs. For instance,
the backs of the dresses had intricate embroideries, reminiscent of historical Dior pieces, while their fronts showcased futuristic reinterpretations.
Audience: Obviously, the who's who came out in droves to get a first peek at the new face of Dior including Jennifer Lawrence, Dior muse Marion Cotillard, Princess Charlene of Monaco, Natalia Vodianova and fellow designers Azzedine Alaia, Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Olivier Theyskens, Alber Elbaz, Riccardo Tisci.
A Blooming Victory: A million flowers (an obsession of the founder) adorned the walls the of the five private salons in which the show was held!!
