JUST IN: Alexander Wang is now the creative director of Balenciaga!
“I am deeply honored to embark on this new role for a brand and house that I have such great admiration and respect for,” said Wang, who succeeds Nicolas Ghesquière after his stellar 15-year run.
What will this new chapter for Balenciaga have in store?
“Alexander Wang will use his creativity and his own research to reinterpret and immortalize the distinctive, modern and extremely innovative style imposed by Cristóbal Balenciaga,” said François-Henri Pinault, chairman of PPR, which controls Balenciaga.
The first collection will be revealed during the oh-so-glam Paris Fashion Week on Feb. 26-March 3rd! We can't wait!
And for those of you who were starting to fret about the Alexander Wang label - it isn't going anywhere (phew!!!)
